Polytechnic West was a public vocational education and training provider in Perth, Western Australia, and one of the state's largest training organisations. Formerly known as Swan TAFE, it was renamed Polytechnic West in 2009 and taught across fields ranging from trade apprenticeships to business and aviation at campuses in Perth's southern and eastern suburbs. In 2016, under Western Australian Government reforms to the TAFE sector, Polytechnic West merged with the Challenger Institute of Technology to form South Metropolitan TAFE. Its former campuses, including Bentley and Thornlie, now operate under South Metropolitan TAFE, which delivers a wide range of vocational courses.
