The Melbourne Institute of Business and Technology (MIBT) was a pathway college established in 1996 to prepare students for Deakin University. Run by the education provider Navitas in partnership with Deakin, it offered foundation programs and diplomas that allowed students to progress into Deakin degrees. In 2015, Deakin and Navitas renamed MIBT as Deakin College, and it now operates under that name. Based on Deakin's campuses at Melbourne Burwood, Geelong Waterfront and Geelong Waurn Ponds, it provides diplomas across business, engineering, information technology, health sciences and other fields, each providing entry into the second year of a related Deakin degree.
